The Official 48 Teams

All 48 teams are sourced from the official FIFA World Cup 2026 draw, held December 5, 2025 at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. The teams are organized into 12 groups of 4. Teams NOT in this tournament include Italy, Cameroon, Costa Rica, Denmark, Poland, Serbia, and Wales — none of them qualified.

About the FIFA World Cup 2026

The FIFA World Cup 2026 is the first to feature 48 teams — up from 32. Co-hosted by the USA, Canada, and Mexico across 16 stadiums, it runs 104 matches over 39 days. The opening match is Mexico vs South Africa at Estadio Azteca on June 11. The final is at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on July 19, 2026.
